The Details

Everything in One Place

From detection of an event to an automated process our messaging and alarm solution helps to achieve operational excellence.

Alarms and Events

An event can trigger a signal, either automatically through a subsystem such as building management automation, process control engineering, or through a manual trigger (eg. duress button).

Communication

Based on pre-defined notification plans and personnel schedules, our messaging and alarm solution overlays event inputs and additional information (such as location) to the relevant personnel via a range of channels and devices.

Acknowledgement and Escalation

For maximum reliability, depending on the event type, a pre-defined person or minimum number of personnel in a group must acknowledge an event. The messaging and alarm solution can initiate an automated alarm escalation to notify other parties, when such a rule is not met within a certain time frame.

Reporting and Control

Our messaging and alarm platform provides auditable information that can be sent automatically or retrieved at any time.

A Centralised Software Management Platform

Enabling organisations to integrate their existing ICT infrastructure with any 3rd party systems, providing a single platform. Our platform enables the automation of processes, ensuring the most effective response to reduce risk and enhancing OH&S processes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What alarms can be integrated in my solution?

We can work with a variety of different sources such as paging and nurse call systems, business applications, fire alarms, building management and workflow systems. The flexible platform manages information, alerts and notifications using an intelligent management interface. It can be configured or customised to fulfil your desired workflow including what, when and how an incoming event should be processed. This can result in notification of personnel via text messaging or voice messaging, or can lead to sending an e-mail or SMS, switch on a siren, activate a contact and initiate many more alarm solutions.

What reporting capabilities does your solution provide?

It collects and stores data on the thousands of events that can occur throughout facilities every day. These events can include fire alarms, security notifications, nurse call requests, door alarms, building management notifications, and many more. Reports can be generated on the alarms that are activated and messages that are sent. Progility Technologies messaging and alarm solution provides a web-based management interface that allows access to the invaluable alarm data across all levels of the organisation.

  • Access the reporting features via the Web Interface
  • Reports can be exported to PDF CSV or HTML
  • Users can customise the format and data displayed in the reports
  • Filters can be applied to only show the required data
  • Export data in the desired format for use in an external spreadsheet or database program.

Can I prioritise my alarms with your platform?

Alarms and events can be categorised into three different types based on their urgency and response requirements

  • Priority 1: Immediate action is required; responders need to confirm attendance and they will be placed on a conference call with a minimum attendance criteria defined
  • Priority 2: Action is required within a timely manner; responders need to confirm attendance
  • Priority 3: Non-urgent, action can be completed later.

Can you give me an example of a workflow?

Here is an example of a workflow for a patient in Level 1 room 33 of a medical facility. The room has an emergency button on the wall and the nurse presses this button to initiate an alarm. The nurse call system passes this alarm to our messaging and alert platform which has identified the trigger as a medical emergency, initiating the relevant workflow. This workflow requires at least two clinical team members to acknowledge that they received the medical emergency notification. The workflow gives them the option to communicate together and with the room in a conference call while in transit, so all parties are aware of the situation. If the minimum criteria of the acknowledgment of two clinical personnel has not been met, the messaging system will start calling the members of the escalation team. The switchboard will be able to see the active alarm and track its progress.
